Jemma Tennant Announced as Vice Chair of The Water Management Society

We are delighted that our newly-appointed Technical Consultant, Jemma Tennant, has been announced as the new Vice Chair of the Water Management Society! She will remain in the post until June 2024, where she will then take over Ian Penney’s duties and become Chair.

I am absolutely delighted to announce that I have been elected as Vice Chair for the Water Management Society, and will be working alongside the current Chair, Ian, until I take over as Chair in June 2024.

Since being elected to Council in 2019, it has been a privilege to work with such industry experts as well as the fantastic admin team - without their hard work the society wouldn't be where it was today.  I am honoured that they have put their trust in me to continue the excellent work the WMSoc does to provide technical support and training to our members.  I hope to continue to drive the WMSoc towards excellence, promoting the Society, increasing membership and keeping our members engaged and interested.

Jemma Tennant, Technical Consultant, SMS Environmental

The Water Management Society (WMSoc) is a non-profit membership organisation that has been providing practical and technical training solutions to individuals and companies within the water management industry for over 50 years.

Its expertise in Legionella awareness, legionella and water hygiene training enables the organisation to give the most up-to-date instruction on how to prevent Legionnaires’ and other waterborne diseases within various water systems, including cooling towers.

The main aim of the society is to promote the advancement of water management for the benefit of industry, commerce, the environment and the public.

Other aims include:

  • Promoting the interchange of scientific information among persons interested in water management by means of meetings, lectures, demonstrations, discussions and publications as appropriate.
  • Encouraging education and training in water management.
  • Cooperating with other bodies interested in water management, welfare and technology.

SMS Environmental would like to congratulate Jemma on her new appointment, and believe that she is the right candidate for the post.
