National Housing Provider move over to SMS Environmental for water hygiene monitoring services.
Our client is one of the largest property management, development, regeneration companies and leisure companies in the UK. Made of over 20 companies, has assets in excess of £3 billion, and manages more than 182,500 homes, so it's with great pride we are on now the preferred supplier for water hygiene monitoring services!
This wasn't always the case. SMS Environmental initially failed to be awarded the contract through a competitive tender process where another appeared to offer greater value. However in less than a year our client sought agreement for early termination of the provider due to issues with delivery and communication of the works being undertaken. At this point they decided to engage with other providers and awarded to SMS Environmental through via a competitive framework award.
We now provide a full and comprehensive package of water hygiene and planned maintenance monitoring services for over their property portfolio.
We carry out PPM activities such as weekly flushing, monthly temperature testing, quarterly showers clean and disinfections as well as TMV servicing and fail safes, sampling, tank temps/inspections and disinfections of drinking water tanks and remedial works.
Remedial Projects
As a result of working collaboratively, they have built up trust in us, and now have employed the services of our remedial projects team to undertake a variety of projects for them, including high risk cold water storage tank replacements, where residents needs are always at the forefront of our minds and communication is vital during the to reduce disruption during installation and commissioning of new services.
I would strongly recommend that you use this contractor. Having experienced issues with other contractors that were not performing and carrying out their duties appropriately, we recently changed contractors to SMS early in 2018. The portal they have and the technical/contractual management of the people I have dealt with is great.
