From Factory to Plumbing Industry
When Aaron Taylor started his career, he never imagined he would end up in the plumbing industry. Beginning with an apprenticeship in his uncle's factory, he quickly realised he preferred a more dynamic environment. He eventually landed a job with a well-known company, where he worked on private and commercial plumbing projects from 2016 to 2018.
Building a Career in Plumbing
Determined to pursue a career in plumbing, Aaron obtained his NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating between 2019 and 2020. He continued working on bathroom plumbing with a friend's private company before transitioning to a maintenance plumbing role with a UK-wide commercial plumbing company in 2020. Despite the long hours and demanding on-call schedule, Aaron valued the experience gained from this position. He then moved on to a local company for two years before finding his way to SMS in May 2023.
Joining SMS as a Plumbing Remedial Engineer, Aaron covers the North West region, working on a variety of projects ranging from hospitals to housing. He appreciates the trust placed in him by the company and enjoys the freedom to manage his own work. Working closely with Remedial Team Supervisor Ian Dalziel, Aaron values the support and training he has received at SMS.

Aaron describes his experience at SMS as the best in his career so far.
