Scottish Legionella Focus Group Presents: Legionella Learning

We are delighted to be given the opportunity to represent the SLFG by managing and organising this intellectual event. We hope to deliver a jam-packed day of speakers and open discussion, where we can deliberate on the newest updates in water safety and legionella control. This event will give the chance for guests to ask questions to some of the leading water experts in their field. 

We have the wonderful Jemma Tennant, the chair of the SLFG and the driving force behind the group forming. Jemma manages legionella control across both their domestic and non-domestic portfolio. Ian E Kershaw, the Chair of the Water Management Society & Legionella Team Leader for Hartlepool Borough Council. Our very own John Sandford will be partaking as a speaker during the event. John has over 25 years of practical and research experience in the field of water treatment and control. John is currently the CMIOSH and H&S Director for SMS Environmental.

The guest list doesn’t stop there with Dennis Kelly, a Legionella and water consultant from Pro LP Consulting Ltd. It’s a pleasure to have Dennis speaking on various aspects of legionella risk minimisation. Our Final guest is a superb late addition to this well-rounded panel. We are pleased and excited to have Duncan Smith from HSE partake and distil some of his legionella knowledge during this event. Duncan Smith is a Principal Specialist Occupational Hygiene Inspector with the Health and Safety Executive’s Field Operations Division.
